The Department of Microbiology organized a hands-on training program on Vermiform Composting at the Information and Training Centre, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Guindy, on 22nd October 2025.36 studentsfrom II B Sc were actively participated in the program, accompanied by the faculties Dr. K. Abirami and Dr. A. Kalidoss. Dr. T. Malathy /Assistant professor, Information and training centre, Tamilnadu Agricultural University Guindy. The Hands on training program on vermiform composting unit was organized to provide students with a practical understanding of sustainable waste management practices. The visit aimed to educate students on the operational aspects, benefits, and challenges of vermiform composting. A question-and-answer session allowed students to clarify doubts about the process, challenges, and scalability of vermiform composting.
