Student Achievements
Extra-curricular activities boost students' self-esteem, confidence and capabilities. The department provides ample support and encouragement for students to shine in their areas of interest.
- S.P. Subashree (III B.Sc) won 2nd prize in JAM at Bhakthavachalam College, 2014.
- Jeevithra (III B.Sc) represented TQI (Talent Quest of India) for Dharmapuri District and was awarded ‘Best Student – NGO’ for the “Joy of Giving” social work programme (2013-14).
- Jeevithra (III B.Sc) and T. Shreenithi (II B.Sc), as members of the “Ulasat Organization,” taught under-privileged students around the college.
- Yuvasri (III B.Sc) won 1st prize in Biomics-2019 (cultural) at Bhaktavasalam Memorial College for Women.
- Niveditha (III B.Sc) won 2nd prize in District-level Tamil Speech (Aug 2018) and 2nd prize in “Waste into Worth” (Feb 2019).
- Kushan Lahiri & Inder Kumar won 1st prize in Quiz at SDNB Vaishnava College, Chrompet (2019-20).
- Alankritha Y & Mahesh Padmanaban won 2nd prize in Group Singing at SDNB Vaishnava College (2019-20).
- Yuvasri J won 2nd prize in Essay Writing at Guru Nanak College, Velachery (2019-20).
- Sathyajeet Patra & Nivedidha N won 3rd prize in Quiz at Loyola College, Nungambakkam (2019-20).
The Department of Microbiology won the Overall Championship in the “BIOMIC” Life Science Competition at Bhaktavasalam Memorial College, Chennai (Feb 8, 2019).
